Building Donation Campaign: GoFundMe

Since our founding in 2006, we have met in what was a Civil War infirmary, a barn, and under a tent in an open field. The picture above is our current meeting place. Five years ago, we purchased land upon which to construct a church building of our own. Before that, we had been renting a storefront, but the rent became unsustainable. At that time, we raised enough money from our members to make mortgage payments on the land and what, we thought, was needed to build an adequate facility to meet our needs. We were then met with a harsh reality.

Five years later and we have not yet broken ground due to permitting and construction requirements, many of which should not apply to a rural church facility. As Christians we have been patient, but the time delay has rendered our construction nest egg inadequate. Material costs have skyrocketed in the last five years due to inflation and supply chain challenges. The same is true for labor costs, gasoline, and insurance.

In order to build the facility that we had envisioned five years ago, we will need an additional $150,000, which is beyond the reach of the members of our small congregation. While hesitant to ask for charity, we realize that we need the help of others to build our church. We truly appreciate anything you are willing and able to contribute, and you will be in our prayers.

New Website

At our September 2016 business meeting, the church voted to rebuild our website on a new platform that will help us not only communicate with our congregation through our website, but also manage our membership list and enhance our email communications. This web site is the fruits of our labor.

If you would like to be included in church communications, please email us at communications@cowboychurchhc.org to be added!
